SHAKSHUKA/MIDDLE EASTERN POACHED EGGS IN SPICY TOMATO SAUCE
Shakshuka is a famous and delicious Arabic (Middle Eastern) egg cuisine. It is basically eggs cooked in a spiced tomato sauce base. I usually serve it for breakfast in my household, but it can be had any time of the day too! Serve it with your favorite bread/s.
HOW TO COOK SHAKSHUKA
MORE INFORMATION & TIPS
1) If you do not prefer a hot sauce, de seed the peppers before chopping OR adjust the amount of harissa paste, chilli and paprika accordingly to suit your taste.
2) Just double all the amounts of ingredients to cook for a larger party.
3) Most shakshuka recipes include the eggs but you can actually leave them out if you like!
4) You can add some vegetables like green or red bell pepper in the sauce too. Just add the peppers in the same step with the tomatoes. All the other steps remain the same.
