FRESH TOMATO SALSA

TOMATO SALSA
SERVINGS: 3-4
Fresh tomato salsa is a great accompaniment to many foods and snacks. Serve at room temperature or slightly chilled.


INGREDIENTS: 
  • 4 Tomatoes
  • 1-2 Green peppers (for a hot kick!) (Omit if you prefer)
  • 1 salad onion
  • 1 bunch coriander leaves
  • 1 garlic clove
  • Juice of 1 lime
  • 1-2 tbs Olive oil
  • ½ tsp Salt
  • Black pepper (optional seasoning)

METHOD

PREPARATION

  • ​Dice the tomatoes.
  • Dice the onion.
  • Deseed the pepper (if you prefer) then finely chop them.
  • Wash and chop the coriander leaves (and stalks).
  • Finely mince the garlic clove.

HOW TO MAKE SALSA

  • ​Put all the ingredients in a bowl and mix together.
  • Season with salt and pepper to personal preference.
  • ​The salsa is ready to be served.
MORE INFORMATION & TIPS​
1) De seed the green peppers to reduce their heat. Alternatively omit in the recipe if you prefer not to have any heat in your salsa.​
2)
Salsa goes really well with Mexican foods.
