EAST AFRICA MUNG BEANS LENTILS STEW IN COCONUT MILK/BOROHOWA
Lentils cooked in coconut milk is packed full of proteins, fibre and very tasty. In East Africa the dish is known as Choroko za nazi (Tanzania) or Borohoa/Borohowa (Kenya) and usually served as a stew or curry accompanying rice or bread. However it is so versatile, you can also serve it as a soup! The lentil of choice is usually green mung beans (but you can also use any other lentil). This is our take on this tasty dish.

1) The lentil stew goes really well with rice but just as well with any bread (e.g chapati) which can be used to mop it up! Enjoy!
