1) To ensure that you do not get a soggy snack, ensure the oil is very hot before cooking so that the cassava does not absorb oil during the cooking process.
2) Do not consume raw cassava tubers as they contain highly toxic cyanide. For the wild varieties cassava, you might need to boil the cassava several times first before frying. This ensures the removal of cyanide which can make this edible tuber very poisonous.
