EAST AFRICAN CREME CARAMEL: PODINI
East African caramel known as Podini, is considered a special Swahili dessert which was traditionally reserved for special occasions. It is fragrantly perfumed with the ground cardamon and the combination of smells is so delicious and silky smooth that you will certainly ask for a seconds!
HOW TO COOK THE PODINI
NOTE: The podini is cooked by letting it simmer gently in a water bath. For this recipe, the podini was cooked in a 20cm diameter pan.
