CHIN CHIN: WEST AFRICAN FRIED DOUGH
Chin chin is a Nigerian (West African kulkuls) snack made of deep fried dough, usually in strips or tiny squares. It is slightly similar to East African Half cake, the only difference being their sizes.(Chin chin is a smaller version of the half cake). A sweet and crunchy tasty snack any time of the day and so easy to make!

1) Store the chin chin in an airtight container and they will keep for 3-4 months.
2) Do not roll the dough thick, the chin chin will puff up double its size when fried.
3) Some add baking powder in their chin chin, for this mixture, you can add ½ tsp baking powder but I must stress that it is Optional and not necessary!
