CHICKEN IN A VINEGAR SAUCE
This is a personal recipe that was handed down from my great grand mother (Known as 'Kuku wa siki'). It usually appears on the menu for the mother as soon as a new baby is born into the family. The elders believe that vinegar is medicinal for the body and helps in healing it after child birth (I have not found any evidence for this yet!). Traditionally, there would be a tonne of vinegar added but I have toned the content down and therefore able to cook it on a regular basis to be served as part of a meal with rice or chapati, any day or for anyone.
